But taking paid online surveys may not be a complete waste of time for those who only want to make extra money from home in their spare time. In this case, the opportunity can definitely be a money maker. As mentioned earlier, it won’t be a big money maker but it can help someone make some extra money at no expense to them.
Actually, it is one of the best ways to make money online for beginners. And there are good reasons for this.
1. It is a truly free way to make money on the Internet. There is no investment needed whatsoever or any hidden fees, granted you stick to legitimate survey websites that offer free registration.
2. It’s easy to take surveys and therefore, easy to make money. All that is involved is filling out surveys which only require some typing and clicking.
3. Almost anyone can take advantage of the opportunity. Teens, parents, retirees, professionals, disabled people, or anyone that buys products or services can get paid for their opinion.
Someone new to making money on the Internet shouldn’t have difficulty earning money with paid surveys. It’s a great way for them to see that money can be made on the net relatively easy. Their first payment may not pay their rent but it can put extra money in their pocket that they didn’t have.
Still, some people think that paid surveys are a waste of time even if the opportunity can help them make extra money. Why is that? There are plenty of reasons for this as well. Here are the top complaints I hear from those who say that surveys are a waste of time.
The surveys take too long and pay very little money.
This statement can certainly be true and is in most cases, but not all. I’ve gotten surveys that wanted to pay me 50 cents for a 30 minute survey. Do you think anyone wants to spend 30 minutes of their time to earn a mere 50 cents? I’m one of those people who wouldn’t.
Did I take the survey? No. Did that make me think that this opportunity is a complete waste of time? No. Although I still get surveys like that occasionally, I also get surveys that will pay me 3-5 dollars for ten minutes of my time. In other words, not all surveys pay poorly.
So, even if I don’t take those poor paying surveys, I still have opportunities to earn money since I know that I’ll run across better paying surveys like this one I was invited to take and actually qualified for:
But in order to get decent paying surveys, you need to do a bit of work. You need to sign up to many survey panels, complete your profile surveys, and take surveys consistently. If you are not doing these things, then you are only going to get poor paying surveys which would make this opportunity a complete time waster.
You will keep getting disqualified.
This doesn’t apply to everyone. But, everyone will get disqualified from at least one survey they attempt to take. Survey disqualification is inevitable for paid survey takers. You won’t qualify for every survey that you take no matter how good you think your profile is.
But the good news is that there are other studies which you may qualify for. To increase your odds of qualifying for surveys, you need to fill out your profiles, making sure to update them if something changes, and participate on many survey sites so that you get more chances to complete surveys.
Even if you do get disqualified a lot, if you have a steady stream of surveys coming in and your profiles are completed, you are bound to get surveys which you do qualify for and can take to earn money.
They don’t send me enough surveys.
Some survey panels don’t send out paid surveys that frequently. If you don’t get invited to take surveys, you’re not going to make money. What’s the use if you only get surveys four times a month, which you may or may not qualify for. And worse, what if they only paid a couple of bucks? That’s a waste of time.
But what if you joined other survey panels and opened up the opportunity to get invited to more paid surveys? You won’t have to wait weeks for paid survey opportunities. You’ll start getting surveys every day from various survey panels.
Yeah, you may not make a lot of money on an given site but when you add your overall earnings from each survey panel, you could end up with a decent monthly income from paid surveys.
Even if you only made $10 on each panel, if you belonged to 20 survey panels, that’s $200. That may not be a lot of money to some of you, but for others, it’s free cash that can take care of a bill or go into savings.
Oh, and if you are not getting many surveys despite belonging to many different survey panels, you should check to see whether or not your profiles are completed and updated.
Most survey sites are scams.
There’s probably hundreds of survey sites out there and I’m certain that many of them fall into the category of a scam. But I know for a fact that legitimate survey sites exist. Someone new may not know this but if they did some research, they would determine that there are sites out there that will allow them to earn cash for taking surveys.
Is it worth the time to sift through all of the paid survey scams to find the legitimate survey companies? If you want to earn extra free cash, then it may be. It’s not that hard to find legitimate paid survey websites, especially with all of the resources available on the net for free. So, just because a lot of sites may be scams, that doesn’t mean you’ll be wasting your time because some are legit and can help you earn extra money.
In most of the cases above, it all lead back to earning potential. If you are not going to make a lot of money or have a hard time doing so, many people will say it’s a waste of time. Although I agree with the latter, I wouldn’t say that taking paid surveys is a complete waste of time because you can earn money for free. And if you take the advice given in this article, the earning potential can be a lot better.
